Graphics of a game are its biggest attraction. They bring color, reality and livelihood to the game. No matter what the storyline is or the depth of the game, good graphics can make a huge difference and bad one can prove to be a turn off.
Good graphics are necessary for a good game. Good effects add depth and meaning to the play. A good visual effect would mean the player’s involvement and understanding of the game. Visuals convey the creator’s ideas to the player.
If you compare two Command and Conquer games, Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2, you observe that Tiberian Sun has much drier visuals with fewer colors and no vegetation. The focus is only on technology, strategies, moves and the military structures. There is no plantation, rare or no cities, no citizen and common men and no normal life. This makes the game dry and boring, all the effort is put into the play only. In contrast, Read Alert offers a large array of colors. The combats are often in the famous cities. And world renowned buildings and structures like the Statue of Liberty and the Alamo etc are often portrayed. There are civilians roaming around, and they even give their opinion about the on going circumstances (in the game). In a few factions, natural animals like monkeys and cows are also present. Civilian buildings and cars on the whole make very cheerful graphics. This makes Red Alert a much more wanted game and hence successful game.
The graphics have improved to a large extent over the last decade. The Need for Speed series reflects this. The earlier games were a bit rough, but gradually the visuals have got finer and finer and the more recent Need for Speeds have very vivid and realistic visuals. This makes a big contribution to the series being successful.
The world famous game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has got one of the best graphics and visual effects. The in general visual idea in this sequel was that attempt to capture the spirit of Miami Vice and Scarface. There are pedestrians on the streets, the stylish depiction of sunrise and sunset adds flavor to the game. There are also a lot of new effects: heat vapor from the roads, flamethrowers, blasts, lots of marine life in the sea, flora and fauna, and a lot of light everywhere. Generally speaking, as with the rest of the game, it's a case huge game.
Producing great visual effects requires a huge amount of effort on the side of development team but it sure is worth it. Good graphics mean the success of the game to a great extend.

Most of the people see that social networking website that has the white and blue labeled banner at the top of left hand corner of their screens every time they click onto their ‘favorite’ homepages. It’s like, just one click and you enter another dimension of the world filled with people’s personal lives and pursuits which are made public, where people go through others’ profiles and try to judge them according to the material they post on their pages, you start to make an impression about them in the process but what you don’t know is, that impression lacks accuracy, most of the times.
We may be mistaken when we befriend people that we see, people that we see and talk to and complete strangers. We are easily fooled by what a profile tells us about a person, especially when it comes to a random friend request, about which I strongly believe that it’s potentially hazardous. Because, when we accept random friendship request and open doors for them to our personal social life and friends, we also accept numerous possible threats to our social well-being and to our future social networking ventures.
Often times, facebook profiles lie, people don’t realize it but we all are provided with a platform to reveal ourselves as someone which in reality we are not, because everyone around here seems to have an inferiority complex. And when it comes to creating a facebook profile, we tend to create a very cool facebook profile - filled with lies. Precisely put, our facebook profiles are what we want to be which is directly against to what we are. But this does not mean that everyone out there is brainless and unreal nor does it make my opinion a sweeping statement.
Facebook is so far most extended social networking database and with its widespread popularity among the youth and adults, its role on the destructive impact has also increased amazingly. Facebook is useful for the college students to affiliate with our college-mates with them. In the process, we start placing ourselves in social parameters and start seeing our level and personality ranking against those we connect with. We join community pages and chat with different people we see in college, we join groups and share material that we like. It looks like a very beneficial thing in a social point of view. But, this keeps us committed to these activities so much so that it starts to restrict us from progressing forward and attempting new things to further explore our capabilities.
In addition to this, we also tend to put ourselves in an awkward position when we decide to unfriend a person from our facebook profile, which is also very commonly known as the worst offence in the world of social networking. Facing all the agony and discomfort while answering a friend to why were they ‘unfriended’ from your profile makes you regret taking the decision of ever creating a facebook account, but the solution, which is to delete the account is not as easy as it sounds because, facebook never completely removes your profile, it keeps on lurking somewhere in the domain.
So, if you ask someone with brain, that if the facebook worth all the attention and time that it’s usually given. They might actually define facebook as a perfect haven for cyber predators and online frauds.
